My Advice to Reduce Hairloss
Hi, I'm Jess. As an SMP technician, I meet a lot of people with hair loss, and they ask me if there are ways to prevent it. So I studied whether there is such a way, and I found that with some simple good habits, there is a chance to reduce or slow down the hairloss, and then when you think about it, it does make sense. Today, I'm going to talk about that.
With more than 10 million people suffering from hair loss these days, in particular younger people and women's hair loss numbers are increasing.
There are many different opinions of what people believe are effective ways to reduce hair loss, shampoo companies claim to have effective products against hair loss, some people eat foods that prevent hair loss, such as black beans and hasuo herbs while some people take medication and even try expensive hair loss treatments, but once hair loss starts, it's hard to stop.
The cause of hair loss is not only genetics, but also stress and diet. Poor diet and lifestyle, habits, and environmental hormones etc. It varies.
Some of the things you do when you wash your hair without thinking about it are bad habits that can also cause hair loss.
Tips and habits for hair loss - How to prevent hair loss (in no particular order)
1. Use Shampoo correctly!
Most people shampoo their hair, some people think using more shampoo to remove pollutants from the hair is beneficial however, if you overload the shampoo, it can be harmful to the health of your scalp. Make sure you use the right amount for your hair.
Squeeze the shampoo into your hands and don't rub it directly onto your scalp. Once you have a good amount of lather, rub your hands together evenly throughout your hair.
Before washing your hair, make sure to comb it thoroughly and wash your scalp and hair with plenty of water before shampooing. Also, washing your hair with hot water can damage the cuticle layer and proteins in your scalp, which can lead to weaker and weakened hair. It's better to use lukewarm water rather than hot water.
Also, use the end of your fingers and your nails to massage your scalp when washing your hair. Don't break the skin. Some people like to do this to cool their scalp. If you have long nails or don't wash your hands often enough there may be germs between your nails, your scalp could become infected with bacteria, so wash your hand thoroughly prior to washing your hair.
2. Hair drying - Stay Cool
Blow-drying your hair with hot air can raise the temperature of your scalp and irritate your hair follicles. It can also over-dry the scalp and disrupt the oil-water balance, which can lead to hair loss.
It's better to blow dry your hair with a cool or natural breeze instead of hot air.
Not drying your hair at all can also lead to hairloss
When your scalp gets humid, it can cause odour at the crown of your head.
It can become a favourite environment for bacteria and cause seborrheic scalpitis.
If this condition becomes severe, hair loss can occur.
3. Part both ways
Hair loss can occur when the scalp is exposed to UV rays and becomes weak, as most people keep their hair relatively with the same hair part this can also allow the hair to prematurely weaken, so it's a good idea to change the direction of your hair parting frequently.
4. Try not to wash your hair in the morning
Morning showers are a great way to start the day, but they're not so great for your hair.
Washing your hair in the morning washes away the good oil, leaving your scalp vulnerable to UV damage.
You also have less time to wash your hair than the evening, so you may not take the time to wash as thoroughly.
Nowadays, our bodies are exposed to a lot of fine dust. This can clog your pores, so be sure to shower and wash your hair when you get home from a day out.
5. Disproportionate nutritional intake
No secrets here, fatty fast foods and poor eating habits not only can harm your health, but can also can cause fat to accumulate on the scalp, which promotes hair loss. Healthy hair is produced when sufficient nutrients are supplied to hair roots that make hair. In women, excessive dieting often causes hair loss. Make sure to eat nutritional value evenly.
6. Drinking and smoking - Moderation
Drinking raises the body's temperature. Alcohol interferes with blood circulation.
Heat in the scalp can also increase, causing hair loss. The nicotine and tar components of cigarettes constrict blood vessels,
Excessive drinking and smoking are bad for hair because it blocks the flow of blood and worsens hair loss.
Give yourself a chance.
1. By correcting the habits mentioned above, it's possible to prevent or atleast slowdown the hair loss. It's important to take care of your health from the inside to help it on the outside.
2. It's also important to minimize irritation to the scalp as much as possible.
3. Wear a hat in the sun, when using a blow dryer, keep it away from your head and let it cool and air dry.
4. Ideally, wash your hair in the evening to ensure that it is well cleansed of the day's dirt and debris, giving your hair a good a chance to relax and balance it self out.
5. Massage your scalp from the nape of your neck to improve blood supply massaging your scalp to increase blood flow to the scalp will also help prevent hair loss.
6. Stretching and maintaining good posture will also improve circulation and metabolism.
7. For healthy hair and body you should reduce alcohol and smoking, and eat a balanced diet. Chicken, eggs, and other protein-rich foods, and seaweeds such as wakame seaweed and kelp, which are full of minerals and plenty of vitamin-rich vegetables.
Ultimately - with due diligence, a bit of common sense, some good luck, lets not forgot genetics, there are a few habits we can choose to give our bodies and scalp an improved chance to stop, reduce or slow the hairloss. SMP is like a bridge, a link, a place where we were, but want to get over the other side. It gives you choices and can provide solutions.
